Music lovers, rejoice. This weekend on Longboat Key brings three concerts.
Performances include the following:
Eleanora Lvov will sing soulful classic love songs in a belated Valentine's Day concert 3 p.m. Sunday at the Longboat Key Education Center, 5370 Gulf of Mexico Drive.
Trio Viola, a mixed ensemble featuring Dr. Jane Hoffman on the flute, Laura Jensen-Jennings on viola and Thomas Koch on guitar, will start at 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 17, at St. Armands Key Lutheran Church, 40 N Adams Drive .
Amanda Lubin and Alice Ivy Pemberton, will play the piano and violin, respectively, at 7 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 17 at Casa del Mar Beach Resort, 4621 Gulf of Mexico Drive.

Youth sailors descend on City Island

Approximately 250 people hit the water Saturday, April 20 through Sunday, April 21, for Sailfest. The regatta, Sarasota Youth Sailing's biggest fundraiser of the year, included four classes of competition — Optimus, 420, Laser and Multi-hull — and a barbecue feast. -
Book club sunsets for the season

The Sunset Beach Book Club, in its 10th year, ended this season with a luncheon and discussion of the book “Gone Girl,” by Gillian Flynn, April 18, at Lazy Lobster. Discussion moderator was Ricki Carroll. Together, the group read five books this season.
