Zero injuries for Longboat Key town departments
Date: February 14, 2013
by: Kurt Schultheis | Managing Editor
Several town departments went an entire year without a recorded injury in 2012, prompting Town Manager Dave Bullock to throw a pizza party for staff last week.
The following departments went an entire year without recording an injury: Public Works, Tennis Center, Finance, Information Technology and Planning, Zoning and Building.
“Wow, job well done,” wrote Bullock in an email to town staff directors on Feb. 1. “Creating a safe work environment is everybody’s business and it shows. Thanks for all you do. ”
Bullock wrote he was quite pleased and surprised no injuries were recorded when he read the town’s safety minutes.
