+ Fire Rescue department conducts inspections
Longboat Key Fire Rescue is currently conducting fire inspections and tactical surveys of multi-family and commercial structures.
Inspections are conducted annually and are based on the Florida Fire Prevention Code and the town’s Fire Prevention Code.
According to Deputy Chief Skip Falcone, tactical surveys are important because they give firefighters a chance to go into buildings and become familiar with them in a safe condition, so they are prepared in case of an emergency.
