Longboat Observer Senior Editor Dora Walters celebrated her retirement yesterday with more than 100 of her closest friends.

Observer Editor/CEO Matt Walsh shared stories from Walters’ 26 years with the Longboat Observer and led the crowd in a champagne toast.

Mayor Jim Brown issued a town proclamation declaring Jan. 29, “Dora Walters Day.”
