Registration is still open for the Longboat Key 2011 Citizens Academy of Government.
More than 15 residents already have signed up for the four-session class, which takes place from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., Wednesdays, beginning Jan. 5, to learn more about the town’s government and its functions and responsibilities.
Class location, a detailed description of courses and course materials will be provided to participants.
The first class begins at 9:30 a.m. tomorrow at Town Hall, where citizens will get an overview of the town charter and government at Town Hall.
