The Longboat Key Public Interest Committee will hold a forum titled “Longboat Key Beaches Under Pressure: What You Need to Know” at 7 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 27, at Longboat Island Chapel, 6200 Gulf of Mexico Drive.
The event will include an introduction to Key beaches and early beach history, beach design principles and strategy, modern beach project history, current beach status and assessment information, details about the proposed plan and March 15 referenda, and a panel discussion.
