Dec. 15 Safe and secure 8:50 p.m. — 500 block of Kingfisher Lane. Suspicious Circumstance. A woman reported a suspicious pickup truck leaving the area. Police responded and could not find the truck but found an unlocked sliding-glass door at a nearby residence. Nothing was stolen and the house was secured.

Residents reported that someone in a pickup truck squealed the truck’s tires and did donuts in a condominium’s landscaped area.

Dec. 6 Construction question 3:26 p.m. — 6400 block of GMD. Suspicious Circumstance. A Christ Church member reported to police that someone placed a sign on the church’s construction site that read: “WHY?” The church member told police members of the nearby homeowners association were disputing the church’s construction.

Nov. 25 Gator grab 9:32 a.m. — 400 block of GMD. Vehicle Larceny. A woman reported that someone stole her crocodile purse valued at $2,000 from the passenger seat of her unlocked car while she was inside a gas station paying for her gas. The purse contained a payroll check, her Social Security card, credit cards, a checkbook and $10 in cash.

Nov. 22 Case of mistaken identity 12 a.m. — 600 block of Penfield Street. Suspicious Vehicle. Police received two calls about two drunken men in a small boat in the canal behind their docks. A boat with people was detained for questioning, but it was the wrong boat.

Nov. 13 Deep sleep 11:41 a.m. — 500 block of Bay Isles Road. Camping Violation. A town employee told police that someone was sleeping in Bicentennial Park. Police found a man sleeping in the bushes, and he was issued written warnings for camping and possession of alcohol on town property.

Oct. 24 I spy 12:01 p.m. — 3600 block of Bayou Circle. Suspicious Circumstance. A woman told police that she believes someone has wired her house to spy on her because the screws in her electrical plates had been moved and she can hear an echo in the house when she claps. Police told her to call back if she noticed anything else suspicious.
