If the glove fits
5:18 p.m. — 5200 block of GMD. Suspicious Circumstance. A couple who is renting a condo found a pair of women’s gloves on the floor of their closet and reported someone may have entered the unit when they weren’t home. Police contacted the rental agent, who called the unit owner. She confirmed the gloves belong to her.
Feb. 8
Sign of bad weather
8:29 a.m. — 5600 block of GMD. Public Service. A condominium sign appeared to have been damaged by high winds rather than a criminal act. Police filled out an informational report for the association and its insurance company.
Speed racers
11:47 p.m. — 1000 block of GMD. Noise. A woman reported possible street racing near the south end of the Key. Police checked the area but didn’t find the alleged racers.

Wire worries
11:43 a.m. — 4000 block of GMD. Fire. Police and firefighters responded to a low-hanging power line and determined that FPL was en route to evaluate.
Feb. 11
Quick fix
11:27 a.m. — 3500 block of Bayou Pointe. Gas Leak. Firefighters and police responded to a minor gas leak from a vehicle. Its owner said he would have the car towed to a repair shop.
Get a move on
1:36 p.m. — 3500 block of Fair Oaks Way. Parking. Police asked pool company employees to move their vehicles to allow a garbage truck to navigate a cul-de-sac.
