11:55 a.m. — 2000 block of GMD. Traffic Violation. A driver was initially pulled over for having a loud exhaust system and was arrested for driving without a valid driver’s license.
No return policy
2:27 p.m. — 500 block of Bay Isles Road. Trespassing. Police issued a former restaurant employee a trespass warning after he received his final paycheck. He agreed never to return.
Sales pitch
3:33 p.m. — 500 block of Spinnaker Lane. Soliciting. Two men promised police they would stop trying to sell magazine subscriptions door-to-door until they obtained a permit from the town.
Jan. 13
Under tow
7:49 a.m. — 4200 block of GMD. Traffic Violation. A man was arrested for driving a car without a valid driver’s license. The car was towed.
Taxi-cab confessions
8:41 p.m. — 5200 block of GMD. Traffic Violation. Police observed a vehicle weaving on Gulf of Mexico Drive and pulled over the driver. The man, who had a medical issue, told police he had been drinking and agreed to take a taxi home. He was issued a ticket for failing to stay in his lane.
Evasion attempt
9:19 p.m. — 600 block of Dream Island Road. Traffic Violation. A man tried to evade police by turning into a residential community and quickly turning into a driveway. Police activated emergency lights and made contact with the driver, who had two active suspensions and had just gone to court that day for driving with a suspended driver’s license.

Trim notice
9:56 a.m. — 700 block of Marbury Lane. Code Enforcement. A woman reported that her neighbor was cutting mangroves behind his home. The man told police he thought he had permission to cut 25% of the mangroves before obtaining a permit from the state to cut the protected vegetation. The man apologized and promised not to cut his mangroves without obtaining a permit.
