For most people, home is where the heart is. But for Gale Fulton Ross, home is where the “art” is. She loves finding objects such as walking sticks, doors and tray tables, painting them and hanging them on the wall. Even her painting palette is framed and on display.
“My style is based on the fact that this place is my sanctuary, my home,” Fulton Ross says. “It’s very personal.”

Approximately 250 people hit the water Saturday, April 20 through Sunday, April 21, for Sailfest. The regatta, Sarasota Youth Sailing's biggest fundraiser of the year, included four classes of competition β Optimus, 420, Laser and Multi-hull β and a barbecue feast. -
Book club sunsets for the season

The Sunset Beach Book Club, in its 10th year, ended this season with a luncheon and discussion of the book βGone Girl,β by Gillian Flynn, April 18, at Lazy Lobster. Discussion moderator was Ricki Carroll. Together, the group read five books this season.
