What makes "The Crucible" unique is that it's the first main stage opera to be built entirely at the Sarasota Opera House.
Jeff Ellis, the opera's director of production and the subject of this week's Backstage Pass feature, explains how his team of carpenters and painters plan to turn the stage into the scene of the 1692 Salem witch trials.
