Three photographs by Longboat Key photographer Mary Lou Johnson, of Mary Lou Johnson Photography, were recently accepted into the General Collection of Professional Photographers of America’s 2011 International Photographic Competition.
Johnson’s photographs “Crayola Eight Pack,” “Mystic Morning” and “Can You See Me Now” will be on display from Jan. 15 through Jan. 17, 2012, at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans.
“Crayola Eight Pack” will also be published in the “Showcase” book by Marathon Press.
A panel of jurists selected approximately 1,500 images from more than 4,000 submissions for the General Collection. From those selected images, more than 200 will be published in the “Showcase” book.
The exhibition is held in conjunction with Imaging USA, an annual convention of professional photographers and several photographic associations.
