LONGBOAT KEY CLUB AND RESORT
The Longboat Key Club and Resort, 301 Gulf of Mexico Drive, will hold its third annual Junior Tennis Camp for children ages 8 to 16 who want to improve their tennis skills.
Campers can choose half-day sessions from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. or 1 to 3:30 p.m. or full-day sessions from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Morning sessions will consist of a warm-up, lessons on stroke production and mechanics, a live-ball drill, ball-machine practice and cardio tennis. Afternoon sessions will offer supervised match play, conditioning, movement-and-agility training and a “Davis Cup” team tennis competition.
The Key Club will also hold its sports camp for children ages 6 to 12 with a “peewee” half-day session available for children ages 4 and 5. Half-day sessions are from 9 a.m. to noon, and full-day sessions are from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The camp includes tennis, golf and swimming, along with a variety sport each day, such as baseball or soccer.
Both camps have eight five-day sessions available running Monday, June 8 through Friday, Aug. 7, with a break week from Monday, July 6 through Friday, July 10.

CEDARS TENNIS RESORT

MOTE MARINE LABORATORY AND AQUARIUM
Mote Marine Laboratory and Aquarium, 1600 Ken Thompson Parkway, has summer programs beginning Monday, June 8.
Children ages 2 to 5 can participate in “Mommy & Me at Mote: Sea Shapes/ I Spy,” in which campers learn about ocean life through crafts, games, songs, stories and more. The three-day camps feature an animal feeding, live-animal interactions and a chance to wade through Sarasota Bay.
An adult must accompany each camper.
Students entering grades one through four can attend “Aquakids: One Big Home” program, in which they will explore ocean habitats. The five-day camp offers a boat trip around Sarasota Bay, snorkeling in coastal waters and visits to Mote Aquarium.
Students entering grades five through eight can participate in the new “SeaSleuths: Bay Bonanza” program, in which they will be on the water every day investigating the mysteries of Sarasota Bay. They will kayak in mangroves, snorkel above seagrass and fish in the bay.
Another program for students entering grades five through eight is the “Digi-Know How” program, in which campers will create digital media projects using computer applications and equipment.
Students entering seventh or eighth grades can head to Mote’s Tropical Research Laboratory on Summerland Key for the five-day Discovering the Florida Keys trip.
And for students entering grades nine through 12, Mote offers scuba-diving camp, in which participants can earn their PADI Open Water Scuba Certification, and “Marine Ecology of the Florida Keys,” in which students will travel to the Mote Laboratory on Summerland Key for five days of marine exploration.

SARASOTA YOUTH SAILING PROGRAM
Sarasota Youth Sailing Program will hold summer camps at Sarasota Sailing Squadron, 1717 Ken Thompson Parkway.
Morning sessions take place from 9 a.m. to noon, and afternoon sessions are from 1 to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Camps run Monday, June 8, through Friday, Aug. 15.
