Chris Owens, the subject of this week's Backstage Pass feature, leads the Sarasota Chorus of the Keys through a Tuesday night rehearsal at First Baptist Church.
Owens is eight months into his new gig as director of the 61-year-old barbershop chorus. A band teacher and longtime barbershopper, Owens says that even when he’s conducting, he’s singing in his head.
