The homeowners designed this table to add a pop of color to their kitchen.
2. When the homeowners bought their home six months ago, they wanted their kitchen design to be "cheery and functional." It features a double oven, floor-to-ceiling storage, Moen appliances, an instant hot water faucet and a chunky bullnose back splash with a fleur de lis design.
Above the double oven is a six-range stove with a grill.
Folsom Smith suggested to the homeowners that the spot by the bay windows would be perfect for a banquet, the booth seating area seen here.
The homeowners installed a wine cellar into the storage space underneath their staircase when they renovated in 2011.
When the homeowners updated their kitchen in 2011 with the help of Eurotech Cabinetry, they chose Blue Bahia, a Brazilian granite, for their countertops because the couple had inherited family china that was white and blue.
"I grew up around white and blue," says Carolyn Michel. Michel also enjoys being able to show off her mother's china and other objects in her glass cabinets. "The kitchen is hearth of the home."
One of the homeowners' favorite parts of their kitchen is the GE induction stove top. "It boils water in 20 seconds!"
