The Braden River, Lakewood Ranch and Out-of-Door Academy football teams hit the field May 3, signaling the official start of spring practice. The teams spent the afternoon working on strength and conditioning and basic position drills. The Pirates, Mustangs and Thunder will wrap up the spring season with their annual spring games later this month.
