Braden River's and Manatee East's 11- and 12-year-old Little League squads didn't let inclement weather dampen their spirits as they began their quest for a district championship at the Manatee County District 26 Little League All-Star Tournament July 6 at Braden River Park. Manatee East cruised to a 24-2 victory over Manatee National, while Braden River fell to Manatee American 3-2. The two teams will square off at 6 p.m. Thursday.
