Donning brightly colored jerseys, hundreds of children between the ages of 4 and 19 grabbed their soccer balls and headed out to the fields to kickoff the Braden River Soccer Club’s recreational season Sept. 26. Following their games, players enjoyed slides, bounce houses, carnival-style games and refreshments, among other games and activities.

Members of KC and the Sunshine Dancers, a group of Manatee County dancers ages 8 to 20, will show off their dancing skills in jazz, hip-hop and contemporary dance from 7 to 9 p.m. May 28, as the group holds a show titled "Breaking Ground."
