Dozens of girls hit the gridiron for the second annual Doug Garrity Pirate Puff Classic Dec. 17 at Braden River High School. The seniors defeated the freshmen 14-7 in Game 1, and the juniors defeated the sophomores 14-7 in Game 2, setting up a championship game between the seniors and the juniors, which the juniors won 7-0.
EMB Midget squad finishes 5th in the nation

The East Manatee Bulldogs Midget cheerleading squad finished fifth in the nation in the Advanced Division of the Pop Warner National Cheer and Dance Championships Dec. 11 at Disney's Wide World of Sports.
