The Sarasota Christian Baseball League is now accepting registrations for the 2010 spring baseball season.
SCBL has been a part of the Sarasota and Manatee communities for more than 20 years and is an inter-denominational work of churches and people of faith. The organization seeks to provide a wholesome, faith-based environment for children ages 5-12 to learn and enjoy baseball.
Registration is now underway for Minis (ages 5-8), Minors (ages 8-10) and Majors (ages 10-12) with discounted pricing available until Jan. 11. The spring season will officially begin in February will all games played at Fruitville Park off Richardson Road in Sarasota.

Dancing group to host fundraiser

Members of KC and the Sunshine Dancers, a group of Manatee County dancers ages 8 to 20, will show off their dancing skills in jazz, hip-hop and contemporary dance from 7 to 9 p.m. May 28, as the group holds a show titled "Breaking Ground."
