Lakewood Ranch High center fielder Taylor Newton, pictured with her younger sister, Logan, and her parents, Jimmy and Marcy, will play for James Madison University next year. -
Swimmers Will Kazokas, pictured with his mom, Benet, and Danielle Valley, pictured with her parents, Greg and Cindy, will be continuing swimming for the Sarasota Sharks before heading off to Cornell University and the University of Florida, respectively.

Dancing group to host fundraiser

Members of KC and the Sunshine Dancers, a group of Manatee County dancers ages 8 to 20, will show off their dancing skills in jazz, hip-hop and contemporary dance from 7 to 9 p.m. May 28, as the group holds a show titled "Breaking Ground."
