Tennis Tournament to benefit Meals on Wheels

The World Class Senior Doubles Championship will be held Dec. 12-13 at the Lakewood Ranch Athletic Center.
Several well-known senior tennis players, including Lorne Main, King Van Nostrand, Fred Drilling and Joe Bachmann, among others, will be competing in the event with their partners for the $2,000 grand prize.
Match play begins at 9:30 a.m. and tickets are now available at local tennis clubs or on-site. All proceeds from the event will benefit Meals on Wheels PLUS of Manatee. Dancing group to host fundraiser

Members of KC and the Sunshine Dancers, a group of Manatee County dancers ages 8 to 20, will show off their dancing skills in jazz, hip-hop and contemporary dance from 7 to 9 p.m. May 28, as the group holds a show titled "Breaking Ground."
