The Braden River High girls basketball team fell to Southeast before bouncing back to beat Palmetto and The Out-of-Door Academy this week.
On Nov. 12, the Lady Pirates fell to the Lady Seminoles 57-32. Kelly Logan paced Braden River with 11 points.
Braden River bounced back with a 66-52 victory over Palmetto Nov. 14. The Lady Pirates beat the Lady Tigers for the first time in five years and also set a new school record for most points in a game. Logan had 15 points and Kiki Mitchell added 10 points and 13 rebounds for the Lady Pirates.
On Nov. 16, Braden River beat ODA 48-33. Logan and Madison Jaco each finished with nine points.
Braden River returns to action at 7:30 p.m. tonight, at Booker.

Dancing group to host fundraiser

Members of KC and the Sunshine Dancers, a group of Manatee County dancers ages 8 to 20, will show off their dancing skills in jazz, hip-hop and contemporary dance from 7 to 9 p.m. May 28, as the group holds a show titled "Breaking Ground."
