The Lakewood Ranch High girls soccer team notched its second shutout of the season with a 5-0 victory over Manatee Nov. 18.
Deana Haller scored two goals and Katilyn Kerrigan, Kristen Voight and Sarah Wolfe had one goal apiece. Goal keeper Katherine Somoodi had six saves on the night. With the win, the Lady Mustangs improve their record to 4-0.
Lakewood returns to district action at 6 p.m., Nov. 20 versus Osceola.

Dancing group to host fundraiser

Members of KC and the Sunshine Dancers, a group of Manatee County dancers ages 8 to 20, will show off their dancing skills in jazz, hip-hop and contemporary dance from 7 to 9 p.m. May 28, as the group holds a show titled "Breaking Ground."
