The Lakewood Ranch High boys soccer team kicked off its 2009 season victorious, defeating St. Pete Catholic 3-0 Nov. 11.
Aaron Mckamey had two goals and Alex Martin had one goal to lead the way for Lakewood. Dan Murray had three saves while the defense, led by Lee White and Tre Flagg, allowed only five shots on goal.
The Mustangs return to action at 8 p.m. tonight versus Riverview.

Members of KC and the Sunshine Dancers, a group of Manatee County dancers ages 8 to 20, will show off their dancing skills in jazz, hip-hop and contemporary dance from 7 to 9 p.m. May 28, as the group holds a show titled "Breaking Ground."
