The Lakewood Ranch High volleyball team defended its Class 6A-District 12 title with a 3-1 victory over Seminole Osceola Oct. 25.
After falling 25-27 in Game 1 to the No. 2 seed Lady Warriors, the top-seeded Lady Mustangs rebound to win their next three games 25-15, 25-18, 25-18.
Ashlyn Falahee paced Lakewood with 12 kills. Mariah Robertson added 10 kills and Nicole Grant had eight kills. Ali Milbourn added 35 assists.
Lakewood will return to action Oct. 31 in the Class 6A-Region 3 quarterfinals. The Lady Mustangs will play host to District 11 runner-up Strawberry Crest.
