The Lakewood Ranch High boys golf team captured its third-consecutive Class 2A-Region 5 championship Oct. 22.
Junior Ramsey Touchberry shot a 1-over par 72 to win the individual championship. Spence Schultz and Luke Miller both shot 78s and Danny Walker shot a 79.
The Mustangs will look to defend their 2011 Class 2A state championship Oct. 30-31, at Deer Island Golf and Lake Club in Tavares.

Dancing group to host fundraiser

Members of KC and the Sunshine Dancers, a group of Manatee County dancers ages 8 to 20, will show off their dancing skills in jazz, hip-hop and contemporary dance from 7 to 9 p.m. May 28, as the group holds a show titled "Breaking Ground."
