The East Manatee Bulldogs Junior Pee Wee and Junior Midgets both earned victories Oct. 16.
The Junior Pee Wee team shut out the Longhorns 36-0 to clinch a playoff berth. Hunter Barnes scored three touchdowns to lead the way for the Bulldogs. Jernard Porter added a pair of touchdown runs, and Cody Staton kicked a pair of extra points and converted a third extra point on a throw to Chase Tench.
The Junior Midget team edged past the Lil Devils 14-13. Sam Vrinios scored on the last play of the game to give the Bulldogs the win.
The Predators defeated Mitey Mite Red 22-13. Robby Goecker rushed for two touchdowns and Mike Gagnon ran in an extra point.
The Longhorns defeated Mitey Mite Blue 24-6. Lantz Barton led the way for the Bulldogs with a 70-yard touchdown run.
The Longhorns shut out the Pee Wee team 28-0 and defeated the Midgets 32-6. Dusty Peebles threw for more than 100 yards and scored the Midgets’ lone touchdown on a 4-yard run.
