The Lakewood Ranch High boys golf team shot a combined 287 to capture the 2012 Manatee County Championship Oct. 12, at the River Club Golf Course.
The Mustangs edged past Saint Stephen’s (288). Bradenton Christian finished third (294) followed by Braden River (317), Manatee (322) and Southeast (397).
Lakewood’s Ramsey Touchberry shot a 66 to capture the individual county championship. Spence Schultz and Luke Miller both shot 74 followed by Ben Boulch (75), David Dill (76) and Barry McDonnell (77).
Seiya Liu shot 69 to lead the way for Saint Stephen’s. Phillip Knowles and Jordan Miller both shot 69 to pace the way for Bradenton Christian and Max Everett shot 78 to pace Braden River.

Dancing group to host fundraiser

Members of KC and the Sunshine Dancers, a group of Manatee County dancers ages 8 to 20, will show off their dancing skills in jazz, hip-hop and contemporary dance from 7 to 9 p.m. May 28, as the group holds a show titled "Breaking Ground."
