The Lakewood Ranch High boys golf team shot a combined 2-over-par 290 to win the Donald Ross Memorial Invitational Oct. 1 at Sara Bay Country Club.
Luke Miller shot a 69 to win the tournament after a four-hole playoff against Bradenton Christian’s Phillip Knowles. Ramsey Touchberry shot 73 followed by Ben Boulch (74), Spence Schultz (75) and Danny Walker (76).
I am very encouraged with our scores from The Donald Ross Tournament,” Lakewood coach Dave Frantz said. “ Knowing you beat every school in Manatee, Sarasota and Charlotte Counties helps validate all of the hard work the guys have been putting in these past couple of months. This is a big first step in gearing up for another run at the State Championship at the end of the month.”
