The Braden River High baseball team will hold a four-person scramble golf tournament fundraiser Oct. 13, at the River Club Golf Course.
Registration for the 2012 Schappacher and Friends tournament will begin at 12 p.m. with a shotgun start at 1 p.m. A buffet lunch, trophies and prizes will follow.
The event is open to the first 128 paid players. Deadline for registration is Oct. 6.
Cost is $60 per player. Proceeds from the tournament will go toward baseball activities and the purchase of baseball-related equipment not normally purchased by the school’s athletic budget.

Dancing group to host fundraiser

Members of KC and the Sunshine Dancers, a group of Manatee County dancers ages 8 to 20, will show off their dancing skills in jazz, hip-hop and contemporary dance from 7 to 9 p.m. May 28, as the group holds a show titled "Breaking Ground."
