The Cardinal Mooney football team suffered its first loss of the season after being shutout 43-0 by Tampa Catholic Sept. 27.
The Colts racked up 301 yards of total offense while the Cougars were held to just 142 yards.
Quarterback Reese Vita completed 5-of-12 passes for 39 yards and an interception, which was returned for a touchdown in the second quarter. Demardre Patterson rushed for 61 yards on 20 carries.
Cardinal Mooney will be off next week in preparation for its non-district contest at St. Pete Catholic Oct. 11.

MTI hosts 9/11 blood drive
