The Braden River High boys golf team improved its record to 3-0-1 Sept. 21.
The Pirates defeated Bayshore and shot 167 to tie Manatee.
Braden River will return to action at 10 a.m., Sept. 25 when the team competes in the Manatee County Championships at the Links at Greenfield Plantation.

East County resident and local attorney Patricia Petruff, a senior partner of the Dye, Deitrich, Petruff & St. Paul law firm in Bradenton, has been awarded the 2014 William C. Grimes Award for Lifetime Achievement in Community Service.
