Mustangs finish second in State Top 10 Invite

The Lakewood Ranch High boys golf team finished second out of four teams in the State Top 10 Invite Sept. 19 at the Lakewood Ranch Golf and Country Club’s Cypress Links Course.
The Mustangs (21-3) shot a 2-under-par 286, finishing one shot behind Tampa Newsome High and ahead of St. Petersburg High (303) and Riverview (305)
Danny Walker finished with a 2-under-par 70 to earn team medalist honors. Ben Boulch and Ramsey Touchberry each shot 71 followed by Luke Miller (74).
The team returns to action this weekend at the Honda Classic Invitational in West Palm Beach.
Jeremy Perna shot 73 to lead the way for the Rams (14-6) followed by Mason Fox (75), Kyle Trautwein (77) and Matt Seat (81).

Dancing group to host fundraiser

Members of KC and the Sunshine Dancers, a group of Manatee County dancers ages 8 to 20, will show off their dancing skills in jazz, hip-hop and contemporary dance from 7 to 9 p.m. May 28, as the group holds a show titled "Breaking Ground."
