East Manatee Junior Midget squad falls to New Tampa

The East Manatee Bulldogs’ Junior Midget team fell to the New Tampa Sharks 16-6 for its second consecutive loss of the season.
Quarterback Joey Lauro threw the Bulldogs only touchdown, connecting with tight end Dusty Peebles for a 59-yard strike.
Lauro also had 14 tackles and an interception to lead the way for the Bulldogs defensively. Zyaire Reid followed with 11 tackles and Jordan Rogers had 10 tackles. Sam McMullen, Nate Bonds and Ryan Oakes each had seven tackles and Justin Fischer and David Henson finished with six tackles.
The Bulldogs’ Junior Midget squad will return to action at 4 p.m., Sept. 12 at home against the Seminoles.

Members of KC and the Sunshine Dancers, a group of Manatee County dancers ages 8 to 20, will show off their dancing skills in jazz, hip-hop and contemporary dance from 7 to 9 p.m. May 28, as the group holds a show titled "Breaking Ground."
