The Braden River High football team fell to 0-2 on the season with a 42-0 loss to North Port tonight. Braden River's Chase Fisher suffered a serious injury in the final two minutes left in the game and was taken to the hospital.
The Pirates return to action Sept. 14 at Palmetto.

Dancing group to host fundraiser

Members of KC and the Sunshine Dancers, a group of Manatee County dancers ages 8 to 20, will show off their dancing skills in jazz, hip-hop and contemporary dance from 7 to 9 p.m. May 28, as the group holds a show titled "Breaking Ground."
