Sarasota Millionaires tryouts set for next week

The Sarasota Millionaires are now looking for talented players for the upcoming football season.
The team will be holding tryouts from 9-11:30 a.m. and 4-6:30 p.m., Sept. 12 and 19 at Booker High School, 3201 N. Orange Ave., Sarasota. The tryout, which is open to anyone 18 years of age and older, will include a 40-yard dash, 20-yard professional agility shuttle, broad jump, bench press and player interviews.
All players must wear black shorts and will need to bring cleats, tennis shoes and a valid photo ID. A dri fit quality workout shirt will be provided. The fee for trying out is $30 for returning players and $40 for new players. Players must pay with cash or money order, as no personal checks will be accepted. All players trying out must pay the fee to be considered for the 2009-2010 season.

Members of KC and the Sunshine Dancers, a group of Manatee County dancers ages 8 to 20, will show off their dancing skills in jazz, hip-hop and contemporary dance from 7 to 9 p.m. May 28, as the group holds a show titled "Breaking Ground."
