Young Life East Manatee will host a Spike for Haiti Volleyball Tournament from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., Sept. 7 at Christ Presbyterian Church, 515 Upper Manatee River Road.
The volleyball tournament, which is open to anyone wishing to participate, will consist of four-person teams squaring off against one another.
Donuts, hotdogs, hamburgers and drinks will be sold during the tournament. All winners of the tournament will be awarded various prizes, including Panera, Applebee’s and Chipotle gift certificates. In addition, all participants will be entered into a drawing for a pair of Tampa Bay Rays tickets behind the dugout.

Dancing group to host fundraiser

Members of KC and the Sunshine Dancers, a group of Manatee County dancers ages 8 to 20, will show off their dancing skills in jazz, hip-hop and contemporary dance from 7 to 9 p.m. May 28, as the group holds a show titled "Breaking Ground."
