Senior setter Regina Aluise had 18 set assists, four kills and 10 service points to help lead the Braden River High volleyball team past Riverview tonight for its second victory of the season.
The Lady Pirates defeated the Lady Rams 25-23, 25-22 and 27-25. Lauren Powell and Brittany and Kaleigh Jaco each had seven kills apiece to help lead Braden River.
Braden River will return to action at 7 p.m., Sept. 1 in its home opener against Venice.

Members of KC and the Sunshine Dancers, a group of Manatee County dancers ages 8 to 20, will show off their dancing skills in jazz, hip-hop and contemporary dance from 7 to 9 p.m. May 28, as the group holds a show titled "Breaking Ground."
