East County Little League All-Stars in full swing

Braden River and Manatee East Little League’s 10-and-11-year-old All-Stars soundly defeated their opponents July 8 to remain tied atop the standings.
After defeating Manatee American 12-2 July 7 in the opening game of the Manatee County District 26 Little League All-Star Tournament at Braden River Park, Braden River shutout North River National 18-0 July 8.
Manatee East got off to a fast start with a 20-2 victory over North River National July 7. Manatee East followed up its victory with a 15-5 win over Manatee American July 8. The two East County squads will square off at 6 p.m. tonight.
Braden River’s 11-12-year-old All-Stars evened their record to 1-1 July 7 with a 15-5 victory over North River American while Manatee East remained a perfect 3-0 with a 20-1 victory over North River American July 8. Braden River and Manatee East will go head-to-head at 6 p.m. tonight.
Braden River and Manatee East’s Juniors Division All-Stars got their first glimpse of one another in the opening game of their tournament. Braden River edged past Manatee East 7-6. Braden River extended its winning streak July 8 with an 11-10 victory over North River National while Manatee East fell to Manatee West 7-1.
