KC and the Sunshine Dancers, a competitive all-star dance team specializing in hip-hop, jazz, lyrical, contemporary and open dances, will host tryouts from 1-3:30 p.m., June 13 at Freestyle Creative Dance Studio, 11255 U.S. Highway 301 North, Suite 103, Parrish.
Tryouts are open to boys and girls in middle school up through college. Those trying out are required to wear comfortable dance clothing and appropriate dance shoes. Dancers will be selected based on their ability.

Members of KC and the Sunshine Dancers, a group of Manatee County dancers ages 8 to 20, will show off their dancing skills in jazz, hip-hop and contemporary dance from 7 to 9 p.m. May 28, as the group holds a show titled "Breaking Ground."
