After running a personal best at the Class 3A regional track meet April 30, the Lakewood Ranch High girls 3,200-meter-relay team found itself just two seconds away from breaking the school record.
On May 8, at the Class 3A state meet in Winter Park, seniors Megan Reuss and Tracey Spronatti, junior Kelsey Grimaldi and freshman Devin McDermott put on their best performance of the season, clocking in at 10:00.51 and breaking the previous record of 10:00.78.
For a complete story on the Lakewood Ranch track team’s performance at the state meet, see the May 14 issue of The East County Observer.
