ODA pitcher Tony Gurry earned his third win of the season while leading the Thunder into the Class 1A regional semifinals for the first time.
Gurry pitched a complete game for the Thunder, allowing just three hits while striking out five. Sean Fleeman and Brody Wiseman were perfect at the plate for ODA. Fleeman went 3-for-3 with an RBI and three runs scored and Wiseman went 3-for-3 with two RBIs and a pair of runs scored.
The Thunder will take on district rival Manatee HEAT for the fourth time this season in a regional semifinal May 8.

The HEAT squandered a seven-run lead in the fourth inning before rallying back, scoring 11 runs in the game’s final three innings.
The HEAT will advance to the Class 1A regional semifinals May 8 where they will face district rival ODA. The two teams split their regular season contests before ODA knocked off the HEAT in the District 12 title game April 29.
