The Lakewood Ranch High softball team saw its quest for a district title come to an end April 22.
The No. 3 seed Lady Mustangs fell to No. 2 seed Venice 2-1 in a Class 5A-District 12 semifinal at Lakewood.
The Indians tied the game in the bottom of the fifth inning before knocking in the game-winning run in the bottom of the eighth.
Quillon Toller went 2-for-2 for Lakewood.
