Hillcroft defeated Wildcat 8-6 in the MGA Insurance Cup March 23 at the Sarasota Polo Club.
With the game tied at 3-3 at halftime, Hillcroft outscored Wildcat 3-0 in the fourth chukker to take a 6-3 lead.
Wildcat scored a pair of goals in the fifth chukker to close the gap, but Hillcroft notched a pair of goals in the sixth chukker to secure the victory.
Stuart Campbell scored five goals to lead the way for Hillcroft. Chris Nevins scored three goals to power Wildcat.
Hillcroft’s Steve Krueger was named the Most Valuable Player. Nicolai Galindo received the Best Playing Pony award for his mare Dusty’s performance.
Teams return to action at 1 p.m. March 30 in the Fidelity Investments Sarasota Cup, which will feature a best dressed dog tailgate contest.
