Braden River High senior Courtney Mirabella struck out 20 to lead the Lady Pirates to a 1-0 victory over Texas Ridge Point March 14.
Mirabella allowed just one hit in the shutout.
Bethaney Keen hit a double to drive in Ashley Allard in the third inning for the lone run of the game.
Braden River is now ranked 20th in the nation according to MaxPreps.
The Lady Pirates return to action at 3 p.m. today versus Texas Bellaire, at the Miss Sarasota Softball Complex.
