The Mustangs won both of their doubles matches to defeat Winter Park, who finished No. 4 in the state in Class 4A last year, on the road.

Freshman Courtney Mirabella pitched a complete game for the Lady Pirates, allowing two runs on five hits while striking out nine and walking two.
Ashley Allard went 2-for-3 with an RBI and two runs scored; and Nicole Tira went 2-for-3 with a pair of doubles and an RBI to lead the way for Braden River. Brooke Ribarich went 1-for-2 with a triple and a run scored; and Lauren Powell went 1-for-3 with a double, an RBI and a run scored.
