The Sarasota High boys basketball team saw its season come to an end with a 40-26 loss to Venice in the Class 7A-District 11 quarterfinals Feb. 4.
The Sailors and Indians remained tied at 17-17 heading into the locker room at halftime, but Venice outscored Sarasota 15-2 in the third quarter.
Anthony Hardy-Bear scored 10 points and Blake Haga added nine points for the Sailors.
