The Sarasota High girls basketball team cruised to a 43-29 victory over Port Charlotte in the Class 7A-District 11 championship Feb. 1.
Natasha Wilcox finished with 12 points, six rebounds and five steals to lead the way for the Lady Sailors. Emily Harding added 10 points, three rebounds, three assists and three steals.
“The girls did a good job of making Port Charlotte work hard for every point by playing great help defense and contesting every shot,” coach Rob Jutras says.
Sarasota will host Stuart Martin County in a regional quarterfinal Feb. 7.
