Florida State University freshman Daniel Lerow, a 2009 graduate of Braden River High School and, has been selected to receive a United States Racquetball Association scholarship award for the 2009-2010 academic year.
The scholarship is determined by the USAR Scholastic Council, as well as the USAR Board of Directors and is based on both academic and raquetball achievement.
Lerow is studying business and is also a member of the FSU Collegiate Racquetball Team that will be competing in the Racquetball Inter-Collegiate National Championships this April in Springfield, Mo.

MTI hosts 9/11 blood drive
As the nation remembers the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, Manatee Technical Institute will commemorate the tragedy with a blood drive from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Sept. 10 and Sept. 11, at its main campus, 6305 State Road 70 East, in front of Braden River High Schol.
